I put my feature article onto a professional website called Wix, which enables me to denote the feature article for its purpose. The site can be accessed from mobile phones, computers and is arranged in a way that makes all the information easier to find.

As apart of my sub editing task I marked Emma Lycett’s – Feature Article

Instead of printing it out to mark, I decided to edit it in the word document by highlighting the words/grammatical errors and adding a comment to them. The reason I did this was so that it was easier to see where the comments were linked to and also if I had made any mistakes I could just delete a comment, rather than crossing out words on paper and it being difficult to understand.

Afterwards, I used a mark sheet to give Emma an idea of what grade her feature article was (in my opinion) and I could give her more general feedback that she could apply to all of her work in case I had forgotten to add it whilst sub editing her feature article.

Before submitting the final feature article, Emma Lycett sub edited my work so that I could make improvements on it.

Emma said that the tone in which I had written was really good because I used a peer to peer mode of address, as it connects with the audience rather that it being formal and strict. However, I didn’t go into much detail on the aesthetic considerations, and my word count was considerably low, therefore I need to make the amendments to the Word Document, before I upload it to a professional website to connote the purpose of writing this feature article for JB Printing.
